Road Surface Management System (RSMS)

What is RSMS?
New Hampshire Road

Road Surface Management System (RSMS) gives communities the ability to perform simple pavement condition assessments, input the data and assessments into the RSMS software, and generate a prioritized list of recommended maintenance procedures which include cost, projected pavement condition improvement, and live improvement.

This methodology stresses performing maintenance on good roads before they deteriorate beyond maintenance and into much more costly reconstruction (typically after 70% good). Ultimately, a ten-year maintenance schedule is produced, along with an associated budget.

Where is RSMS Software Available?

The latest GIS based RSMS software is available as a faction of the PWS Solutions Asset Management suite. It can be purchased at www.pws-solutions.com

The previous model of the original RSMS was completed in 2001 and is available for free from T2.
