RE: APPURTENANCES PLACED IN TOWN ROADS

 It has come to our attention that you are requesting to place a ______________________  on a town road, on property located at ________________________________________.

Appurtenances include, but are not limited to:  mailboxes, fences, stone walls, hedges, trees, shrubs, landscape timbers, grass or turf.  Items such as these located within a town roads, exist by sufferance only, with the liability assumed by the owner.

It is not possible for the Town of Sutton to replace of repair any appurtenance within a town road that has been damaged or destroyed as a result of town road maintenance.
