The Town of Milton, MA is seeking a Civil Engineer, who will report to Director of Public Works/Town Engineer. Responsibilities include: design, design review, estimating, & construction inspection. Knowledge of Civil Engineering and land surveying, Federal & State Laws, incl. MA Wetlands Protection Act. Skill in operating surveying equipment, computer modeling, and other engineering software is required. Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field & 2 yrs. of design and/or field construction exp. in public works projects are required.
Salary: $47,941 to $58,762.

Public Works Director
Town of Sanbornton

Sanbornton, NH (est. pop. 3,000) in NH's Lakes Region is seeking a hands-on Public Works Director to oversee highway and bridge maintenance/ repair and municipal buildings & grounds. Position is full-time salary with benefits.

Management responsibilities include developing/ managing budgets and construction projects, staffing, development and administration of the Town's Transportation Improvement Program, involvement in Town's Capital Improvement Program, and integration of technology into the DPW operations. Assistant Town Engineer

The Assistant Town Engineer will be a critical position in the Department of Public Works assisting the Town Engineer in all matters of in-house design, environmental compliance, plan review, permitting, construction oversight and budget estimates.

Water/Sewer Managing Engineer

Under the direction of Public Works Director, performs managerial and professional engineering functions for the Water/Sewer Division within DPW. The position guides the Water/Sewer Division’s capital projects, planning, systems operations and contract activities.

Requirements: Experience in both management and engineering is required.  May assume duties of Public Works Director as needed. Candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering, and 5-7 years of experience with water /wastewater projects. Experience should include engineering design, construction, project management and operations in wastewater treatment, sewer collection and pumping stations, water treatment, water distribution and storage systems. Possession of a Professional Engineer’s license in the State of New Hampshire within one year of hire preferred.

This position maintains a working knowledge of the Town’s regulatory compliance and enforcement obligations.
